Safety Related Services
Every engineering project, whether air pollution control or another process application, must undergo thorough safety analysis. It is the responsibility of the end user to ensure that any process equipment is fit for purpose, compliant and safe for use by suitably trained personnel.
At A.S.K. Piearcey, we actively participate in and support safety-related studies such as HAZOPs, LOPAs and DSEAR assessments. These studies are critical in maintaining the safety integrity of any system during its design, procurement, installation and operation.
DSEAR Study Support
Apart from certain activities involving ships, DSEAR applies whenever:
- there is work being carried out by an employer (or self-employed person)
- a dangerous substance is present (or is liable to be present) at the workplace
- the dangerous substance could be a risk to the safety of people as a result of fires, explosions or similar energetic events or through corrosion to metal
